Job Description
Test Engineer/Technician for Industrial Automation Software Systems
Responsibilities:
- Review Functional Requirements, Design Documents, Test Plans and Use Cases, incorporating this acquired information into comprehensive design of large-scale test Equipment/Lab including our existing Automation products, Software and new Prototype applications on Windows/Linux OS environment.
- Develop, maintain and enhance test tools (Hardware and Software) and automation testing frameworks to execute intended scenarios and verify in various conditions.
- Setup TestBed/TestLab; wire and configure all equipment, maintain relevant fw/projects/applications versions, configure local networks and use them for testing/verification.
- Ensure large-scale system testing/integration testing for entire multi-team development program.
- Participate on repetitious execution of functional testing, unit testing, regression, load, and performance testing; especially with sense of complex re-execution on larger environment/setup.
- Perform exploratory execution of automated and manual tests on a variety of platforms.
- Benchmark various metrics, across releases/platforms, to ensure quality and high performance as well as comparison and characterization.
- Work with developers and other teams to understand the impact of an individual change on a release and identify the testing required to effectively verify the change.
- Investigate and analyze root causes of technical issues/performance bottlenecks. Have a sense for detail.
- Work as a proficient self-organized member of an international team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Control engineering, Electrical engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with working on positions such as Developer Engineer, Test Engineer, Control Engineer, Integration Engineer or similar.
- Familiarity with configuring Control or Electronic equipment, configure networks, and technologies used in Industrial Automation area.
- Familiarity especially Programable Logic Controllers and its modules, networking with CIP/IP/TCP/UDP, working with process data a exposing to management system web or cloud.
- Electricity awareness and some mechanical craftsmanship will be needed.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English.
