Job Title: Product Manager
Reporting to: Head, Product Management
Job Grade: Permanent
Location: Lagos
Work Schedule: 8.00 AM- 5.00 PM
Purpose of the Job
The Product Manager is responsible for managing ipNX’s set of retail products over their life cycle from ideation through development, launch sale, marketing and support and finally discontinuance. The role involves managing the entire portfolio of products with the primary objective of maximizing sales & profitability while also delivering complete customer satisfaction and delight. Other key responsibilities include: Product Positioning and Strategy.
Deliverables (Expected Key Results)
- Product Portfolio Roadmap Evolution Serve as the internal and external evangelist for the Product Management discipline, proving its value to the organization through faultless project definition and delivery and by continuously driving product management best practices that positively impact product line revenues.
- Create and maintain a portfolio of well-written products that meet the current and future needs of iPNX’s clients.
- Own the product plan, price, pricing strategy, development budget and road map.
- Align product design and development processes with business objectives, market strategy and profitability goals.
- Review and improve the end-to-end service delivery model for new products working with operations & support teams, with the aim of providing a seamless and world class customer experience.
- Product Innovation & Analysis Anticipate client’s product needs and provide proactive solutions to meet their demands
- Develop business cases for new products based on opportunities/ constraints/ elements (e.g. features).
- Build new products based on operational readiness.
- Emphasize product features based on analysis of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
- Select or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Lead on strategic initiatives around innovation and new products, and responsible for the delivery and execution of product strategies and plans.
- Product Launch and Improvement Effectively coordinate and manage the launch of new products and services
- Actively build relationships with central teams, product managers, and engineers to deliver on product roadmap.
- Create go-to-market strategies (e.g. test/launch plans) and positioning for new products.
- Promote the products to customers, analysts, social media and the press
- Product Positioning & Strategy Integrate overall company strategy, product line plans and strategy, competitive analysis and customer needs into an effective product strategy and position in the marketplace.
- Identify new businesses segments and pockets of selection currently under serviced by the business.
- Meet with customers, prospects and industry analysts to discuss product requirements and validate product roadmap for each product line.
- Co-ordinate the creation and management of pricing models for each product.
- Product Promotion Oversee and effectively manage the execution of product promotion plans.
- Develop high-impact sales tools such as presentations, case studies, business cases, brochures & fliers to help improve sales win rates.
- Product Research Develop an understanding of market research needs (incl. market size, share and growth) and product performance & insight needs
- Develop an understanding of key current and future Product trends and opportunities so this knowledge can be applied to insights.
- Develop knowledge of customer segmentation and their characteristics; respond to product offerings including customer needs, interests, behaviors, decision drivers and product preferences.
- Familiarity with voice of the customer (VOTC) methods as an approach to product research
- Carry out regular competitor analysis
- Product Performance & Management Monitor & report product performance by Reporting tracking identified key performance indicators
- Provide regular and ongoing reporting for management level operational reviews
Key competencies
Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent (2.2/ Upper Credit Minimum)
- Experience of delivering features and products at scale
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Products/Proposition Development and Management
- Business Case Development
- Business/Product Presentations Skills
- Demonstrable interpersonal and relationship management skills at expert level.

Work Experience: Other Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years track record of bringing new Customer Focus products to market within a Retail environment Tech savvy that meet the highest standards of delivery and Creativity quality Action orientation
