Location/Division Specific Information
At our facilities in Tijuana, BC El Rubi.
What will you do? (Responsibilities)
- Conduct visual inspections, measurements and functional testing for pipette tips, tubes, and racks (e.g. use calipers, comparator, centrifuge, manual pipettes).
- Record results in hand-written forms or using templates in excel. Evaluate results and validate specifications and tolerances.
- Measure depth of filters placed into pipette tips using the Vextex. Export data as text file and transfer to an excel template. Evaluate results and verify specifications and tolerances as specified on product drawing or Product Quality Requirements.
- Measure the internal and or external diameters of pipette tips and tubes using the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine). Export data as text file and then transfer to an excel template. Evaluate results and verify specifications and tolerances on template or form are correct as specified on product drawing or Product Quality Requirements.
- Use access database to input final results of tests performed.
- Communicate results to the appropriate party in person or by email.
- Maintain files, records and other documents that apply to laboratory records.
- Identify and report non-conformances during daily activities.
- Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
- Execute protocols and test plans in the evaluation of plastic components for design verification.
- Collect and coordinate measurement data to produce standard metrology reports for engineers.
